Not too shabbeh

It was pretty good dude, I did have a few gripes though.

The rhythym guitars sound like they have too much treble. Kind of cuts into the ears abit. Sounds like it would be much more suited to a solo kind of tone.

Drums could do with a bit of work too (but this is coming from the perspective of a drummer...i know what one can, and can't do, when behind a kit ;D).

But besides that, it was a kick ass riff, and the ambience was nice too.

Make a longer version ;D

Thanks for the review. I've never played drums, so my drum parts tend to be more what I think of that sounds good, rather than what can realistically be played. I've made many a drummer angry with that. :)

Good note on the rhythm guitar tone. I'll experiment with different eq-ings of the rhythm guitar parts in future submissions. (Funny part is that that part had a crapload of bass on the live end, maybe the eq/mix took it out. In particular, on my amp's Mesa-emulator setting, there's usually an overload of bass. It's always a delicate process knowing how much to regulate it.)

Holy crap.

I don't think I've ever said this about a metal song on newgrounds before, and I've never thought of any of my submissions in this way...but this song has some awesomely true potential. It has incredibly good commerical value as far as the metal scene goes.

I love the tempo changes and breakdowns.

Afew niggling things though...some of the riffs were a bit average for a song this extreme, and the solo could have been better...the sweeping/raking in it sounded hell awesome though. You need to teach me how to sweep.

Anyway man, hurry up and get around to perfecting this song.

Wow, what words! Man, I'm glad you like it - but you don't know how to sweep yet? If you can manage the picking part, then it's only one other thing. I use the E minor sweep arpeggio:

Basicaly, all the notes going up the arpeggio are picked down, hammer-on the 19 on the e, then up-pick going back down the arpeggio. The best way to get out the sound is switch to neck pickup, and be calm and very laid back. Don't put much concentration into it, or else you'll screw up. I hope this was easy to understand!

Most of my solos were improvised, as this one (apart from the first one) and the second one was improvised, even the sweep. So it mostly sounds off the bat.

I don't think I'll remake this, but I'll make a second 'Alien Bastards' song when I get the chance.
