Pretty good tune :)
Nice work dude. Good guitar sound. Cool riffs. Decent solos.
Did drone on a bit though.

Well glad you thought it was an ok tune. Thanks for your review.
Holy crap.
I don't think I've ever said this about a metal song on newgrounds before, and I've never thought of any of my submissions in this way...but this song has some awesomely true potential. It has incredibly good commerical value as far as the metal scene goes.
I love the tempo changes and breakdowns.
Afew niggling things though...some of the riffs were a bit average for a song this extreme, and the solo could have been better...the sweeping/raking in it sounded hell awesome though. You need to teach me how to sweep.
Anyway man, hurry up and get around to perfecting this song.
5!
Wow, what words! Man, I'm glad you like it - but you don't know how to sweep yet? If you can manage the picking part, then it's only one other thing. I use the E minor sweep arpeggio:
e-------------15-19-15-----------------
B----------17----------17--------------
G-------16----------------16-----------
D----17----------------------17--------
A-19----------------------------19-----
Basicaly, all the notes going up the arpeggio are picked down, hammer-on the 19 on the e, then up-pick going back down the arpeggio. The best way to get out the sound is switch to neck pickup, and be calm and very laid back. Don't put much concentration into it, or else you'll screw up. I hope this was easy to understand!
It melts me to hear that my music has 'awesomely true potential' - coming from someone like you, too!! awesome stuff.
Most of my solos were improvised, as this one (apart from the first one) and the second one was improvised, even the sweep. So it mostly sounds off the bat.
I don't think I'll remake this, but I'll make a second 'Alien Bastards' song when I get the chance.
Thanks Jarry!!
Not bad ;D
Ironically, your guitar tone sounds like Mikaels 'Bloodbath' guitar tone and not his 'Opeth' one :).
Good job :)
Haha, thanks man. That was completely unintentional. :)
BTW when are you gonna upload some more stuff?
Brute!
That's Fuck...I'm Dead down to a tee. Great job man!
i love fuck...im dead :)
Nice :)
This is a great little song. However, you should have brought the drums forward abit more in the mix ^_^
by request...the drums have been made louder!!! muhahaha. i'm glad you liked it, i had fun making it. please check out some of my other work. thanks again for the review!
cheers an g'day.

Doesn't offer alot
In most cases, I'd say this song is horrifically dreadful, but since you're obviously new to music, I won't be so harsh.
To be quite honest, it sounds like you've grabbed a bunch of loops and just mashed them together without any real structure. There's no hook in the song which makes me want to keep listening, and the production has about as much depth as a piece of cardboard.
To get the feel of things, you're really going to have to work with something that offers a bit more creativity than garage band. Chucking loops together does not a musician make.
That's just what I did.. Just mashed together a bunch of loops, because there weren't many other options! I know what you mean about GarageBand restricting creativity! :(
I'm looking into different audio-authoring programs right now.
Thx for the thoughtful review!!! ^^
nice
The drums started out perfect and spot on...but after the first drum fill...it started going out of time.
Nice effort though ;D
Yeah I know I have gotten much better with my drum program so looking back the drums are so off it's sad.Oh well though thanks for the review.
Awesome :D
Hahaha you rock dude!
You're a pretty damn good guitarist for a 14 year old.
I also love your oldschool way of recording by dubbing on to tapes...that's so bloody awesome X-D
Drums need a bit of work though dude. The constant double kicking loop wasn't doing it for me X-)
Thanks a million, Dood! I'm glad you think dubbing on tapes is bloody awesome. I would've changed some of the drum beats in here but nothing worked better than using double-bass all the way through. I didn't like the way the lead came out on this one. Where the high-pitched guitar sounds were, there was supposed to be the sort-of 'Psycho' (the film) sound (you know, the 'ree' sound). Thanks again, Dood!
Oh hey guys. Well...this is my page of stuff. Enjoy, or something.
